Meet Megan, one of our utterly gorgeous brides, who got married on a summer’s day in The K Club, Kildare. Megan chose the Aster jumpsuit by Alexandra Grecco. We knew the moment we tried the silky jumpsuit with Sharon Stone Casino vibes on Megan it was the one! There were instant happy tears! We love our White and Gold bride Megan’s style and are so delighted to have her in our TW&G gang!

We asked Megan some questions about her wedding and her style:

Megan, we loved your wedding style. Was it the style you set out looking for or were you surprised with your choice?

I always liked the idea of a suit or jumpsuit or perhaps a short dress or even a pop of colour. Sorcha definitely made me feel brave enough to try the jumpsuit and I’m so glad she did! As soon as I tried it on, I really adored it – the detail in the cuffs and the wide leg of the trousers. It was the only one my Mam cried for and it felt very special from then on.

What would you say was your overall wedding style?

My overall vibe was a very relaxed and intimate day. I just wanted myself and my husband to feel relaxed and like ourselves with no pressure. I wanted an outfit that was comfortable but still felt like me and my individual style. I also really wanted a pop of colour with my flowers which I definitely got. My flowers were from The Garden in Powerscourt and they are one of my favourite things ever!

How else did you accessorise your jumpsuit? Tell us all the jewellery and shoe details!

I accessorised the jumpsuit with a big bow and mini veil from Aura Bridalwear for my hair. My ring is from Delphi Antiques in Powerscourt Townhouse and I went with gold and pearl hoops from Loulerie which I completely adored. I also wore my Nana’s wedding ring on the day so she was with me.

I tried on some Loeffler Randall Penny mules when in with Sorcha. They were so comfortable! I loved the idea of wearing a platform with my jumpsuit and I wanted a shoe that I would wear again and again so I got the platform version (the Natalie) in an emerald green colour. I totally love them and I am thinking of getting the Pennys in gold to have for myself now.

Any underwear tips for our brides to be?

On Sorcha’s recommendation I got a pair of underwear shorts with no seams. They were perfect. The ones I used were Spanx. They were very comfortable on the day.

If you could give brides-to-be one piece of solid advice?

I know this sounds clichéd, but do just enjoy the day and savour all the little moments. Don’t get caught up in the logistics and technicalities of the day. It will all fall into place. It is all about having a great celebration of love with the people you care about the most. Just cherish each moment and have a great time!

Tell us about a special moment from the day?

Apart from marrying the love of my life which is truly quite a special moment, I loved spending my final moments getting ready with just my Mam. Everyone else had left and it was just us. It was such a lovely time to spend together – my Mam helping me into my jumpsuit, fixing my shoes and making sure I held my bouquet properly. It was so nice having those special moments together before the ceremony.

Who did your hair, make up and photography?

My hair was done by Nikita at Crow Street Collective. My makeup was done by Karla at @karlakartistry and my photography was done by David McClelland Photography.

How did you find your experience at The White and Gold?

Sorcha was an absolute dream from the moment I made the appointment. I had a 7 week turn around when I arrived at the shop. Before I even arrived Sorcha rang to chat through my options with such a tight deadline and made me feel completely at ease.

As soon as I arrived Sorcha seemed to understand my style and taste almost immediately. She is magic! She picked out my beautiful Alexandra Grecco jumpsuit to try on. It was perfect. She made me and my mam feel so special and went above and beyond in every possible way.

Sorcha is a wonderful person with a fantastic eye for style. She is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend visiting the White & Gold to get the dress (or jumpsuit!) of your dreams for your special day!

How lovely of you Megan – thank you again for choosing your look with us, we really loved having you as one of our cool W&G brides
