Meet our beautiful bride Jessica, who got married in Kilshane House in December. Jessica tells us that she knew her Bryn dress by Alexandra Grecco was the dress for her as soon as she looked in the mirror. We just love how radiantly happy and drop dead stunning Jessica looks in her photographs.

We asked Jessica some questions about her wedding style, how she knew her dress was the one for her and if she has any advice for other brides-to-be.

Jessica, you looked absolutely gorgeous in your dress. Was it the style you had in mind for yourself? How did you know it was the dress for you?

I wanted a simple but elegant dress – something timeless. I also loved the idea of sleeves as it was a Winter wedding. I had never seen sleeves like the sleeves on my dress, I instantly fell in love!

When did you know it was the dress for you?

As soon as I looked in the mirror – it was instant! I absolutely loved my dress. The sleeves, the slit – OMG how elegant! I love the mix of the simplicity but wow factor. The neckline was so me. I genuinely think it was made for me!

Who did you bring to your bridal appointment? Did they help you decide on your dress?

I brought my mum and my bridesmaid. They couldn’t have been more helpful and the reaction I received when I walked towards them in my dress said it all. My decision was made.

What would you say was your overall wedding style?

I would say warm, cosy vibes. It was a Christmas wedding, so the buzz was amazing. Kilshane House is gorgeous, so I let it speak for itself. The Christmas décor and open fires created a fabulous cosy atmosphere throughout the house.

How did you accessorise your dress? Tell us all the jewellery and shoe details!

I wore a long drop earring, a plain tulle veil, and some beautiful star clips throughout my hair. I didn’t want to overdo my accessories as the dress spoke for itself. I had a pointed shoe with a touch of sparkle. They were still on my feet at bedtime so they were extremely comfortable which I think is so important on your wedding day.

Any underwear tips for our brides to be?

I tried a few different types of underwear but with the high slit in the dress not everything worked. I went with a Spanx thong which was perfect. I didn’t wear a bra on the day and it worked just fine. Make sure you’re comfortable, you certainly don’t want to be fixing underwear for the day.

Any special moments you treasure from the day?

That hug and kiss from my fiancé at the top of the aisle! I was so excited to see him and to begin our special day together & finally become husband and wife.

If you could give brides-to-be one piece of solid advice?

Don’t stress, everything works out. Keep it simple. And most importantly, enjoy your day together, after all it is your wedding day.

Who did your hair, make up and photography?

My personal hairdresser Lynn styled my hair. My make-up was done by Sarah Cummins and our photographer was Janusz Trzesicki Photography.

If you had bridesmaids where did you choose their dresses from?

I purchased my bridesmaid dresses from Folkster. They were a beautiful sequin forest green which was perfect for Christmas.

How did you find your experience at The White and Gold?

I had the best experience at the White & Gold. We were greeted with some prosecco – always a good start! I tried on everything I wanted, the girls were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. I had never seen wedding dresses like them – such a great selection and I loved trying all the styles. The shop itself is so gorgeous. Everyone needs a trip to the White & Gold if searching for a dress – you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for your gorgeous words Jessica. It was such a pleasure meeting you and hearing how happy you were with your dress. You looked so perfect in it – it really was made for you! I am so thrilled you chose to be part of our White & Gold gang and we wish you both so much happiness together
