Meet our beautiful bride Aoife who celebrated her wedding in Gougane Barra Church and continued the party at The Dunloe Hotel, Killarney. I first met Aoife virtually during lockdown and Aoife had her eye on a different dress in TW&G, I remember suggesting she also try Vionne for her at-home-try on and I was so delighted when Aoife rang me in absolute head over heels love with her dress! After communicating together virtually it was extra special to see Aoife in person, in her dress, at dress collection.  Anyone who has been in with me knows how much I love the Vionne dress and Aoife looks incredibly beautiful in her Vionne.

We asked Aoife some questions about her wedding style, how she knew her dress was the one for her and if she has any advice for other brides-to-be.

Aoife, our Vionne dress by Maria Fekih was just perfect on you! Was it the style you had in mind for yourself? How did you know it was the dress for you?

I wanted my style of dress to be timeless and elegant with a clean silhouette. I originally had my eye on the Romy dress by Alexandra Grecco, it’s such a beautiful gown (I was obsessed) but when I tried on Vionne, I knew it had to be my dress. The fabric is so luxurious and that showstopper back! I loved it! I knew it was my dress the moment I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t stop smiling.

Who did you bring to your bridal appointment? Did they help you decide on your dress?

I met Sorcha virtually during lockdown and she kindly let me take a few dresses home to try on. I’ll never forget being with my Mum & sisters – the minute they saw me in Vionne, they loved it just as much as I did.

How did you accessorise your dress? Tell us all the jewellery and shoe details!

I wore the long plain tulle veil for the ceremony and before dinner I changed into the pearl back necklace from Love Story Bride. I loved the idea of a different look for the evening, it really elevated the dress. My shoes were the Stuart Weitzman Nunaked straight sandal in white leather. They were so comfy and I will wear them time and time again.

Any underwear tips for our brides to be?

I had bra inserts sewn into the dress and wore Chantelle underwear from Brown Thomas. I would recommend buying a few different types of underwear and see what suits best.

Any special moments you treasure from the day?

The whole day was just so special! We walked around Gougane Barra after our ceremony and it was magic… just the two of us.

If you could give brides-to-be one piece of solid advice?

Everything works out in the end! I was so worried about different aspects of the day and I woke up feeling so calm. It is the most lovely day surrounded by your friends and family. We didn’t stop smiling all day.

Who did your hair, make up and photography?

All our suppliers were incredible and I would highly recommend them to future brides.
