The TW&G Sample Sale Lowdown
We absolutely LOVE our buzzy sample sales at TW&G. They are always booked out mega events with lots of brides leaving with their dream dress. We are all too aware of the curiosity that comes with the term "sample sale". Don't worry girls, we are here to help and to fill you in on everything you need to know about upcoming TW&G sample sales!
What is a sample sale?
In a nutshell, a sample sale is when we dedicate a specific day to sell a selection of dresses that have been previously used as floor samples in our shops. For this reason, more than often there is a tasty discount applied to the price of the dress.
We really care for our sample dresses while they are used on the floor so their condition is always really good, often the dress may have only been tried on once or twice!
Is every dress from the floor included in the sample sale?
Unfortunately we cannot include all of our wonderful dresses in our sample sales. What goes in are ex-floor samples, discontinued dresses, dresses that we may have a few sizes of, sometimes it's our best sellers that can no longer be made due to a fabric running out. Either way, there is a HUGE selection available. Our sample sales are normally close to a sell out so we include new dresses in our annual sales. The majority of our samples in our sale range from a 10-12 with a couple of size 14 options available. Everything is in extremely good condition.
I haven't started shopping for my wedding dress yet, is this a good place to start?
In a word - no! Sample sales are best suited to a bride who has been shopping for a little while and has found a style that she likes. As samples are extremely limited in a sample sale, a decision normally has to be made on the spot! For these reasons we don't recommend attending a sample sale if it’s your first time trying on wedding dresses. Also - these are very buzzy events- we see 3-4 brides at a time in their own private fitting areas. They are shorter than a regular bridal appointment. Our current made to-order dresses will not be available to try on during your sample sale appointment.
Sample Sale Preparation:
Be Social Media Savvy: We recommend keeping a close eye to our socials in the lead up to the event. We normally release a few sneak previews of some of the dresses included in our sample sales on our socials before the event takes place. This is a good way to suss out if your favourite dress has been included!
Early Bird Catches the Worm: It's best to book the earliest appointment available to be sure the dress you have your eye on is still available when you arrive. Usually we only have one sample of each dress so when it's gone, it's gone!
Bring Your Hype Pals: Sample sale appointments really do fly by so in order to be sure you find your dress during the appointment it's best to bring guests who are ready to help you to make a decision as quickly as possible. We can't hold dresses for anybody, this includes during appointments!
Sounds great! How do I attend?
Several weeks prior to our sample sales we release availability on our website to book an appointment. These slots fill up really quickly so it's important to book in as soon as possible. Once you arrive at your appointment you will be assigned a stylist for 1:1 attention for the duration of your appointment. Your stylist will assist you in dress selection, styling advice and pricing.
Little reminders:
All sales that take place during our sample sales are final meaning there is a no-return, no-refund policy on wedding dress samples purchased.
